This place suits me perfectly with great wi-fi, free parking, and a lovely bar area. The staff helped me with my luggage on my first stay, which I truly appreciated. I can't wait to come back for Christmas!

The Dolphin Hotel in Newbury has its charm. The staff greeted me with warm smiles upon arrival. My room had a fantastic bath with instant hot water, perfect after a day out. It was clean and cozy, providing a comfortable stay. The self-serve breakfast offered a decent variety, but I expected more fresh fruit. The noise level from the pub downstairs was a bit distracting at night. no staff presence in the mornings made me feel a bit lost with breakfast arrangements. Parking was convenient and the location was prime, close to the town. I appreciated the beautiful outdoor garden space, especially the beach huts that added unique flair. a pleasant stay with a few hiccups.

would happily go back again
The room was super clean and had a walk-in shower. It featured a flat-screen TV, complimentary toiletries, and an ironing facility. The bed felt great. The restaurant served a really tasty steak for dinner. Plus, the outdoor seating area with beach huts was a unique dining experience. Breakfast had a nice variety of options.

great connections to parks and shopping areas nearby
The hotel is just a short walk from Victoria Park, where I enjoyed a lovely afternoon stroll among the trees and beautiful landscapes, and with the Parkway Shopping Centre just a few steps away, it was super easy to grab a quick bite between my explorations. I also appreciated the friendly atmosphere and the quality of the food, especially the perfectly cooked steak I had during my stay as a solo traveler for one night in a Standard Double Room.

Great place for a family reunion
The decor was refreshingly quirky, a real treat for the eyes, and the staff were charming, serving up an exciting selection of beers which made our evenings lively. One night we tried the fish and chips – the fish was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, just like a well-made batch of blue meth.

Great location and breakfast!
We had a nice stay for a night. The self-service continental breakfast was spot on, tons of options! Loved how close it was to town and the river too. The place has an old-school charm but upgraded nicely. Just wish the food had been better. heard some complaints about it. Still, had a fun atmosphere.

Great vibe and comfy beds!
We had a lovely stay for 2 nights. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the rooms were really quiet, which helped us sleep well. Plus, the self-serve continental breakfast was spot on—exactly what we wanted. Just a heads up, the view from our room wasn't great, but it didn't ruin our experience at all!
